Ahead ("the app", "we") is designed to be private by default. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information. It corresponds to an Apple App Privacy answer of Data Not Collected and a Google Play Data Safety answer of No data collected, no data shared.
The Short Version
Ahead does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any of your data. Everything you enter stays on your device.
What Data the App Stores
You can enter, and the app stores only on your device:
- Your tasks, to-dos, appointments, and daily routines (titles, dates, times, notes).
- Reusable checklists ("template lists").
- Service providers you choose to save (name, and optionally specialty, phone, email, address, notes).
- Your profile name and your preferred reminder times.
This information is saved in the app's private on-device storage. It is not sent to us or to any third party, because the app has no servers and makes no network requests.
What We Do Not Do
- We do not collect analytics or usage tracking.
- We do not use advertising or third-party trackers.
- We do not require an account, email, or login.
- We do not access your microphone, camera, or photos.
- We do not transmit your data anywhere.
Permissions
- Notifications: used solely to deliver the reminders you schedule, on your device. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings (reminders will then not appear).
- Calendar (optional): requested only if you choose "Add to Calendar" on an appointment. It is used solely to save that appointment (and updates to it) into the device calendar you pick. The app does not read, collect, or transmit your existing calendar events. If you never use "Add to Calendar," this permission is never requested.
Your Control Over Your Data
- You can edit or delete any item at any time.
- You can remove all of your data at once using Profile → Privacy & Data → "Delete all my data." This permanently erases your data from the device.
- Uninstalling the app also removes all of its data from your device.
Data Retention
Your data persists on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. We hold no copies because we never receive your data.
Children's Privacy
Ahead does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children. No data leaves the device.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date.
